A single sheet today. The sheets moved between sepia line and yukrimun hatch & stepped ochre ranks on pale silk-tone. Every yukrimun stroke kept its own edge. Nothing was smudged into tone. Charcoal, the fine pen, the sumi brush and the sable brush, and nothing else. A measured day, in both senses.

Can the grain of the face carry all the modelling without one blended stroke?
