  1. 1 sitting

A week with the same question sitting beneath the khaka. I set the week's sheets out. The good ones all have a fainter layout, without exception, and I have been arguing the opposite for a month. Answered, and it took long enough.

The week’s record

The week took one sitting over one day. Two ways of working: Kalam line & pardakht ranks; geru tint on cream wasli. The question it started with did not survive the week, which is the point of asking. It stands open now on: Can one even width of line carry both the jaw and the hair?

A single sitting today. Two methods today: kalam line & pardakht ranks and geru tint on cream wasli. On two of them the kalam chose a different path and I left the layout showing where it did. Graphite, the fine pen and the sable brush, nothing else. A steady day.

Can a flat wash hold its edge right up against the contour?
